Fri Aug 26 2011: Snaefellsnes Peninsula

Blonduos (A) to Olafsvik (B)

Today is another travel day, so not a lot of pictures. We head westwards towards the Snaefellesnes peninsula, which we'll explore in more detail tomorrow.

Interrogation at Snaefellsnes

We met this couple at one of our stops at the Snaefellsnes peninsula. They approached us and asked if anything was wrong. We thought they were being helpful to a couple of motorcyclists, but when we talked further, we found out that they thought we were two Icelandic motorcycle police officers because of our white bikes! They were expecting us to give them a fine for stopping at the side of the road! LOL! Nice folks though...

Brains!

Shallow inlets are very typical of the Snaefellsnes coastline
